What is the Political Courage Test?

Presidential Election 2016 Political Courage Test

Pro-choice Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I am really Pro-Life, but I also believe that people have the right to choose. However, if I were President I would try to help put a focus on Pro-Life Choices and lend a voice to the Pro-Life Community, in order to create a middle ground of options for both sides of pro-choice and pro-life respectfully. I do not agree on late term Abortion, unless there is a medical life threatening situation to either the mother or child.
No In order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending?
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
I would not cut any budget that takes away from our defense. We need to continue to invest in our Defense infrastructure, because these are serious times for America, and around the World regarding fatal attacks and threats in many forms. This is a very necessary expenditure for our Country. I do not believe that increasing Taxes upon the Citizens is what will solve our budget problems, no matter what Tax Bracket involved. We need creative ways to gain revenue for our Country, and to find a good balance and middle ground for everyone involved.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Big money has taken away the voice and power of the Citizens within our Government. Also, the person with the biggest money pot, does not give us the best Candidate at heart, it only gives us the wealthiest Candidate. Allowing big money to take us over will soon become a great threat to our American Democracy, and could also lead us back to a leadership that rules over us, due to the power in money as a focus. Big Business has big money and can take the lead over fair campaigns.
No Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
Yes Do you support alternatives to incarceration for certain non-violent offenders such as mandatory counseling or substance abuse treatment?
Yes Do you support mandatory minimum sentences for non-violent drug offenders?
I was once for the death penalty, but I have grown to realize that this is the easy way out for the criminal, we should find other ways to make them pay seriously for the crimes committed. We do need Prison reform for non-violent crimes committed.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support providing tax incentives to businesses for the purpose of job creation?
I think that allowing the private sector the privilege to have spending benefits to help our economy grow would be best. Continuing to have Federal spending does not help the economy grow, but rather helps to further our deficit. Believe it or not, sometimes lowering some Taxes may lead better to an economic growth. Yes, I do believe that giving Businesses good Tax Incentives would help lead us back to a better creation of jobs, which would help our economy.
Do you generally support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
Grants should not be given to those who continue to have a failed plan within our educational system without giving them the challenge and opportunity to change it to become successful. Sometimes competition leads to a better motivation to do well, because privileges are not automatic but need to be proven. We should always continue to look for ways to improve and never accept failure as a norm. If the system is not working we need to find the way to make it work and improve upon it constantly.
Yes Do you support building the Keystone XL pipeline?
Yes Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
Yes Do you support increased regulations on the hydraulic fracturing ("fracking") industry?
I do believe that we need to improve, enhance, and gain better energy here in America that gives us independence from foreign dependency. We do need to allow some of these ways of energy technology here on our own soil, but at the same time, I don't think that our Government needs to spend to have it for us, but allow the private sector the privilege with benefits. I do believe that we need to have some regulations in place, so that greed does not take the place of what is safe and beneficial to our Country.
Yes Do you believe that human activity is contributing to climate change?
Yes Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
A little bit of cautious never hurts. I do believe that it will keep us responsible and hold us all accountable in helping to improve on our environment for future generations, regarding the Planet that we all share. A little bit of regulation is not all bad to allow, because it will help those who care nothing about the Planet but more about the money in their pocket. If we mess up our Planet completely without any caution, there is the greatest chance that we could never repair it and/or reverse it, therefore it is best to have some regulations.
Yes Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
I believe we have the Right to purchase Arms, but also we need some regulation to help in keeping it out of the wrong hands of those who want to use it for the wrong reasons. The reason that we are a free America is because we were allowed to protect ourselves as Citizens, but we do need to be careful of who is allowed the privilege to purchase and have a gun. You should have the freedom to buy a gun, but not without some regulation/control.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
I do believe that we need Healthcare Reform here in America. The Affordable Care Act was on a good track to try to bring some reform, but some of the plan is not good for America. Therefore, I would repeal it to fix it to be better accepted, and work for all of the Citizens with a good middle ground of acceptance. When this Law came into play it caused too much anger among the Citizens, and I believe that our Government should have kept working on the Law to make it much more acceptable for all.
Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
No, if the illegal immigrant has already been here for many years already and has raised a family here already, it would be awful to send them back like that unless they were a person who had a long prison record here. Rather we can find a creative way to make them be held accountable for coming here illegally in the first place, perhaps paying some fines or doing some free labor.
Yes Do you support same-sex marriage?
It seems like there are so many Citizens who are in this situation, and want to be treated fairly, and have equal Rights, and because they are Citizens here in America, I do feel that despite whatever my belief is about marriage within my own personal Faith, it is not right to hold others back from the freedoms that they look to have here as Citizens who contribute to this Country. We are all different, and America has changed quite a bit since the Pilgrim days, we have so much diversity, and we should allow for the inclusion.
Do you support increased American intervention in Iraq and Syria beyond air support?
Yes Should the U.S use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the United States from possessing a nuclear weapon?
We have no room for error, and if we have a good lead to suspect a serious threat to America, we have to pay close attention and use precaution to help prevent danger and damage to our Country. A Country does have their own Rights, but if they are a serious threat and have called out to cause us serious Nuclear harm, along with going ahead to create the weapon against us, then Yes, we should try to stop them of course. However, we have to have real proof before jumping on someone and sending out our Military.
Yes Do you support allowing individuals to divert a portion of their Social Security taxes into personal retirement accounts?
Yes, this is a good idea, and actually another way to help Citizens to save for their own retirement, rather than relying on the Government to save their money for them completely.

I would not ever use Executive Order unless there was a clear and mandatory need to do so, where the American Citizens, as a Majority over the Congress, protests and speak out to have it be so for me to use, in whatever the case as necessary and allowed via our Constitution. I would respect and adhere to our Constitution within my position in Office.
Of course I would choose whatever top priority that has the most need in our Country, via the Citizens desire to have occur as a priority. Also, whatever I may list here may change depending on if things are resolved, or the priority level has changed; therefore, I will state some of my top priorities here, but again they are not etched in stone, unless things are still the same and seen as the necessary priority. My List of top Priorities in Office: 1. Americas Safety from Terrorism 2. Immigration Laws 3. Economy and Budget 4. Healthcare Reform
